NGC7331+
The Deerlick Galaxy Group
(Move your cursor over the image for identifiers) NGC 7331 (also known as Caldwell 30) is a spiral galaxy located in the constellation Pegasus. It was discovered by William Herschel in 1784. It is part of a small group of galaxies referred to as the 'Deer Lick Group,' which is part of a much larger group of about 35 galaxies referred to as the 'Pegasus Spur.' The Deer Lick group, whose nick-name was bestowed by an American amateur astronomer in honor of 'Deer Lick Gap' which is located in the mountains of North Carolina, is comprised of 10 NGC objects.
